ROOFBOND high quality all acrylic clear glaze roofing paint is designed especially for applying a clear coat over your existing factory painted painting metal (Colorbond) and cement tiled roof to give it the gloss it once had.

How good is ROOFBOND (Clear Glaze) Roofing Paint?

The advantages of ROOFBOND (Clear Glaze) Roofing Paint is that binder (resin) used in this product has been chosen to provide excellent through film build for a high gloss quality finish. This results in ROOFBOND (Clear Glaze) Roofing Paint being extremely hard wearing yet still remaining slightly flexible therefore giving great longevity. It depends on the type of roof you have as to the type of sealer that you will require. If you have cement/concrete tiled roof then you will need
Shieldcoat’s SHIELDSEAL W, if you have a factory colour coated steel (Colorbond) roof you will need apply Shieldcoat’s SHIELDSEAL W Plus, for a zinc/aluminium coated steel, galvanised iron or asbestos/fibro roof you will need to apply Shieldcoat’s SHIELDSEAL T or Shieldcoat’s SHIELDSEAL W Plus, this will ensure a proper adhesion and longevity out of your roof coating ROOFBOND Roofing paint (Clear). Will ROOFBOND Roofing paint (Clear) bring back the colour on a faded Colorbond roof to make it look the same as when you wet the roof?

To an extent yes. It may not be quite as obvious as when it is wet but definitely an improvement. Cost wise though, there is not much between putting a clear on and simply painting it back to the original colour with Shieldcoat’s ROOFBOND Roofing paint (All Colours). You will use one less coat with the ROOFBOND Roofing paint (Clear) but the guarantee is only 5 years as opposed to 10 years for the Shieldcoat’s ROOFBOND Roofing paint (All Colours).

Is there warranty with ROOFBOND Roofing paint (Clear)?

Yes, there is a 10 year warranty with ROOFBOND Roofing paint (Clear) if you have it applied by a qualified professional painter.
